What are the benefits of heating water after the pump vs before the pump? PDF Print E-mail

Heating the water after it has discharged from the pump rather than before it enters the pump has distinct advantages. The maximum temperature that you can obtain can be far higher (130°F to 212°F) than if the water is heated before entering the pump. You can control the water temperature more readily and normally do not require any storage tanks to provide a surplus. The pump will only handle cold water which will significantly increase the life expectancy of the pump.
