When purchasing a pressure washer you must determine what you are expecting from it , how often and for how long will it be used, how simple is it to service/repair and are parts/accessories readily available at a reasonable cost.

If you plan to use your washer often and/or for extended periods of time and are expecting it to provide outstanding performance you may consider avoiding the very low priced consumer washers available. You cannot expect to obtain professional heavy duty cleaning performance from a washer that is not designed for that purpose.

If you are expecting your washer to provide many years of service then you may have to consider the availability of parts and/or service. Many low cost pressure washers have very few serviceable parts and many of the parts that are available can be costly and difficult to obtain. Accessories such as hoses, connectors, nozzles, wands and other parts prone to wear should be simple to obtain and be competitively priced.

The purchase of a particular pressure washer should be based on the application and the performance you are expecting, as well as the quality of the product and the reputation of the manufacturer. After these items are considered, the cost of the pressure washer can be assessed.
